Anonymous is a group of Internet Hacktivist that support internet anonymity, internet freedom and freedom of speech. They have a laundry list of accomplishments both on the internet and via real life protests. Recently Anonymous has brought forth their group concern about Facebook selling personal information to government agencies and giving information to security firms so they can spy on people all around the world including governments in countries going through government revolutions like Egypt and Syria. As of August 2011 parts of Anonymous have announced their plans to put an end to Facebook for the safety of the people. The planned shut down is scheduled for November 5th, 2011. What are your opinions?
